London local elections, 1998

Local government elections took place in London, and some other parts of the United Kingdom on Thursday 7 May 1998.

All London borough council seats were up for election. The overall result roughly mirrored that of 1994, although there was a 1% swing to the Conservatives.

The Greater London Authority referendum, 1998 was held in the same voting locations.
