London Futurists is an London-based educational and networking event based around futures studies and transhumanism across a range of disciplines. Topics include the technological singularity as well as emerging technologies and their social impact.
History
The UK Transhumanist Association had been holding comparable events since 2004, however the event itself was founded in in February 2008 as a Facebook group. David Wood has held regular events are held at Birkbeck College since 2010 organised via Meetup.
Various full-day events on future scenarios have been held, as well as events in conjunction with the arts.
London Futurists serves as the UK Chapter of Humanity+.
