Lomatium gormanii (Gorman's biscuitroot) is a perennial herb of the family Apiaceae. Called sasamít̓a, sasamít̓aya, and łałamít̓a in the Sahaptin language. “Sometimes confused with Lomatium piperi (Sahaptin mámɨn). Roots are generally larger and ‘hairier’ than L. piperi (i.e., many more rootlets). … Appears to grow where L. piperi does not.” (personal communication from botanist Dave Corliss)
