Logovi'i Mulipola (born 11 March 1987 in Manono Island, Samoa) is a Samoan rugby player currently playing with the Leicester Tigers of the English Aviva Premiership. He made his move to England in 2013, having a trial with Leicester Tigers, after Freddie Tuilagi suggested him to Director of Rugby, Richard Cockerill. He was later signed for the 2013–14 Season. He can play on both sides of the scrum.

Mulipola joined Leicester Tigers for the 2013–14 Aviva Premiership, and immediately established himself as a top player for the side, making his first team debut against London Wasps, where he came off the bench and made a huge impact into the Tigers squad.

He made his full first team match against last years Aviva Premiership winners, Saracens, where he gained full credit from the coaching staff and the supporters in a game which they won. He has continued to gain first team appearances and was rewarded with his efforts by receiving Goldsmiths Player of the Month for February.

He scored his first try for the club during a game against Gloucester.

New Zealand

For the 2012 ITM Cup, Mulipola signed with Hawke's Bay, for a six-month contract deal. This only became clear to Leicester Tigers after they signed him after his trial with the club. Leicester have only secured Mulipola's services for the rest of the 2011–12 campaign after he impressed on trial, and they are a long way down the road to tying him up on a long-term contract.

But the Samoan international already has a long-standing agreement with New Zealand side Hawkes Bay to play for them in the ITM Cup from June to November.

Mulipola has issued a plea to the Kiwi club he is due to join in June to let him stay at Welford Road instead.

International Play

Mulipola made his debut for Samoa against Papua New Guinea on 18 July 2009 and represented Samoa in the 2011 Rugby World Cup, where he came off the bench for 2 minutes against 2007 Rugby World Cup winners South Africa

Personal life

Mulipola has twin sons with Martin Castrogiovanni's sister.
