Local Government Officials Development Institute (LOGODI), established in 1965, is a government organization affiliated with the Ministry of Public Administration and Security (MOPAS), Republic of Korea. It offers training programs for senior-level local government officials, and provides guidance and support for local training centers under metropolitan and provincial governments. It also conducts international training programs and promotes international collaborative programs.

Major domestic programs

  • Long-term training: Vice CEOs, director-generals, directors, and female officials working for local governments participate in ten month programs to enhance management skills in public policy-making and strategic leadership.
  • Specialized training: Specialized training program for the candidates expected to join managerial positions, the Vision Leadership Forum for local government CEOs, the Local Councillor Academy, and other training programs for practical expertise, knowledge and information.
  • National policy training: On-site training focuses on improving public policy-making and problem-solving skills, and enhancing local government officials' ability to manage change

    In 2015, 10 members of a training delegation in China, were killed in the 2015 Ji'an bus accident, and the President of the Institute, Choi Doo-yeong, who organized the trip, subsequently committed suicide.
