Llwchwr is a community at the far western edge of the City and County of Swansea, Wales, UK. Llwchwr comprises the town of Loughor and the village and district of Kingsbridge. Llwchwr has its own community council.

For administration it comprises the electoral wards of Upper Loughor, Lower Loughor and Kingsbridge.

The population of Llwchwr community taken at the 2011 census was 9,134.

The community is home to Garden Village FC of the Welsh Football League, Carmarthenshire League Division 2 outfit Loughor Rovers and Loughor RFC who ply their trade in ASDA Nation League Division 1 West.

The community of Llwchwr is located next to the river Loughor, near the Carmarthenshire/Swansea border. It was previously part of the Lliw Valley district of South west Wales (pre 1996).

Llwchwr is bounded by the local government communities of Gowerton to the south West, Cockett to the south East, Gorseinon to the North and Bynea (Carmarthenshire) to the west.

The community of Llwchr, together with the community of Gorseinon is twinned with Ploermel in France.[1]
