LiveXchange Corporation in a Canadian based company which has based its work from home business model from Willow CSN, now Arise Corporation, which invited the model of a home-based independent workers working for a multiplicity of call centres on a freelance basis.

History

LiveXchange Corporation was founded as late 2001 following its founders departure from Willow CSN, and originally was named CallCast. CallCast changed its name to LiveXchange in February 2004. The company was founded by Brian Pritchard and Ajay Chadha in the basement of his house in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.

LiveXchange’s first client was Pizza Hut Canada and went live in February 2003 making the business concept real. As of February 2011 Pizza Hut Canada is still a client of LiveXchange.

In 2005 LiveXchange launched its first on-line job site portal www.contractXchange.com exclusively for companies seeking to hire people working from home. The site gained 1000 members in the first month. By 2008 the site passed the 50,000 member mark.

In 2007 LiveXchange won the Centrica Platinum award for work with one of Centrica’s companies, Direct Energy, for its home working green initiative. This opened the opportunity for LiveXchange to open up the UK market and begin working with one of Centrica’s other companies, British Gas. This stopped in 2010 following British Gas' own internal home working initiative. Contract Xchange has a loose contract with Direct Energy.

As of 2011 LiveXchange is operating in Canada, the United States and United Kingdom.
