Aldermanic By Election, 9th November 1869

Following the retirement of Alderman Thomas Bold, Bernard Hall was elected as an alderman by the council on 9th November 1869.

No. 7, St. Peter's, 14th January 1870

Caused by the resignatiom of Councillor Jacob Gaitskell Brown (Liberal, St. Peter's, elected 1st November 1867) on 30th December 1869.

No. 2, Scotlamd, 3rd February 1870

Caused by the resignation of Councillor Joseph Robinson (Liberal, Scotland, elected unopposed on 1st November 1867)
