The Liverpool Mozart Orchestra was founded in 1951 in Liverpool with the objective of offering performances of music throughout Merseyside. Since its creation, it has been run by a committee of members who strive to provide young and promising soloists and conductors performance opportunities.
The orchestra has a wide repertoire of music and has offered works from the baroque, through the classical period to contemporary repertoire. Its commissions and it activities draw strong support from the region contributing to musical culture in North West England.
