Contents
With a limited edition of 5,000 copies, Live in Reykjavik is the fifth of a planned 23 live album series. From this collection, the first nine albums contained a jigsaw voucher which when completed formed the image of a skull with the group symbol on the forehead. Each of these vouchers’ tabs had to be cut and sent with the corresponding payment to Temple Records so that you could obtain record number 10 titled Psychedelic Violence, since its limited edition of 1,000 copies never went to the retailing market.
Live in Reykjavik also includes recordings by Sveinbjörn Beinteinsson. Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson collaborated with one of his inventions, the P-Orridgemeter, a device especially designed for this project. This gadget was programmed within any given pulse or frequency and could be triggered by this modules to reproduce an exact pattern sequence. This way, sampled sounds could be played without the presence of musicians.
