My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated children's television series based on the My Little Pony toyline, created by American toy and game manufacturer Hasbro. The show also has musical elements, featuring songs performed on-screen by its characters in several episodes.

Overall, the series has featured 89 original songs over the course of six seasons, not including its main theme, "Friendship Is Magic". Daniel Ingram has been credited as composer for all but four songs in the series, which were composed by William Anderson. He also became the show's main lyricist starting with season two; other notable lyricists include Amy Keating Rogers, M.A. Larson, and the series' showrunner Meghan McCarthy.
