Paris Saint-Germain Football Club is a French professional association football club based in Paris, whose first team play in the highest tier of French football, the Ligue 1. The capital side was formed in 1970 by the merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain.
Since the club's inception, PSG has had 17 presidents. Pierre-Étienne Guyot (1970–1971) was the first ever president of Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, the longest-serving president is Francis Borelli, with 13 years in charge (1978–1991).
On the other hand, Qatari businessman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, currently at the helm of Paris SG, became the club's first non-French president in 2011. He is the most successful PSG president in terms of trophies won, ahead of Michel Denisot (eight trophies between 1991 and 1998). Under his tenure, the capital club has won 13 titles: four Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, three French League Cups and four French Super Cups.
