Liptena catalina, the red-patch liptena, is a butterfly in the Lycaenidae family. It is found in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon and Gabon. The habitat consists of forests.
The larvae are possibly associated with ground-dwelling ants.
