Line 8 Shenzhen Metro (Yantian Line)is currently under construction. Line 8 has a length of 12.34 km and a total of 6 stations. It connects the Liantang with Yantian. Line 8 is the first line to serve Yantian. The line may be built as a monorail rather than a traditional metro. Construction may start in 2016, with the line scheduled to open in 2020.
