Lindi Urban (Swahili: Lindi Mjini) is one of the 6 districts of the Lindi Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the East by the Indian Ocean and surrounded to the North, West, and South by the Lindi Rural District. The district (and regional) capitol is Lindi.

According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the population of the Lindi Urban District was 41,549.

In 2010, Lindi Urban elected Salum Khalfani Bar'wan of the Civic United Front to the National Assembly of Tanzania. Bar'wan is the first person with albinism elected to Tanzania's National Assembly.
