It provides products and services for life sciences, biotech, and pharmaceutical research in India and other countries. The subsidiary of Life Technologies (India) Private Limited had also won earlier battles at National Arbitration Forum, USA (Case #1363891 and 1363893 of 2011) against Invitrogen Corporation (predecessor company of Thermo Fisher Scientific Corporation's acquisition), regarding ownership of few other brand names and related domains.
While Thermo Fisher Scientific corporation uses the Life Technologies brand in the United States and some other countries, Life Technologies (India) Private Limited claims to be the real owner of the brand, with its stand supported by the above judicial forums.
