Li Fanrong (simplified Chinese: 李凡荣; traditional Chinese: 李凡榮; pinyin: lǐ fán róng, born in October 1963 is the chief executive officer (CEO) of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, a state-owned Chinese oil and gas producer, and a Fortune Global 500 company.
Li was born in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, and graduated from Jianghan Petroleum College (predecessor of Yangtze University) with a bachelor's degree in oil production engineering, and received an MBA degree from Cardiff University Business School in the United Kingdom in July 2003.
Li joined China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) in 1984, rising to president., now is the chief executive officer of China National Offshore Oil Corporation. Li served as the CEO of CNOOC from November 2011 until June 2016.. Li was appointed as deputy head of China's National Energy Administration in June 2016.
