Leva Patel (or Leuva Patel or Leva Patil) (Gujarati: લેવા પટેલ; Marathi: लेवा पाटील) is a caste community in India. The community is predominantly found in the states of Gujarat and to a lesser extent Maharashtra. In Gujarat, they are settled in and around the districts of Kutch, Kathiawad, Surat, Navsari, and Valsad. In Maharashtra, they are settled in the western region known as Khandesh (cities include Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Nashik, Pune, and Mumbai) and the eastern region called as Vidarbha (cities include Buldhana, Akola, Amaravati, and Nagpur). Also known as Maratha Leuva Kunbi/Patil in these areas. The Leuva Patel caste is the highest on the Patel hierarchy.
