Lesser Kuril Ridge

Lesser Kuril Ridge (Russian: Малая Курильская гряда) - a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean, that's part of the Kuril Islands. It includes Shikotan, Habomai Islands and several small islands lying close to the Shikotan.

Separated from Greater Kuril Ridge by South Kuril Strait. Maximum height - 412 m (Shikotan).

Length - 100 km. Total Area - 360.85 km². Includes 6 large and several smaller islands.

Lesser Kuril Ridge is part of Yuzhno-Kurilsky District of Sakhalin Oblast of Russia. Claimed by Japan.
