Leptotyphlops blanfordii is a harmless blind snake species found in India and the Middle East. Named after William Thomas Blanford (1832–1905), member of the Geological Survey of India. No subspecies are currently recognized.

Geographic range

Found in India, Pakistan (Baluchistan and North-West Frontier Province), Afghanistan, possibly Iran, south to Mecca through the Arabian Peninsula from Aden through Yemen. The type locality given is "Sind" [Punjab, India].
