Colonel Lawrence A. Corcoran was a Defense Intelligence Agency officer stationed in Santiago, Chile in the early 1970s. He allegedly paid $50,000 dollars per piece for the 17 missiles used to bombard the La Moneda Palace as part of the U.S.-supported 1973 Chilean coup d'état.
