Lauvøylandet is a small island outside Sandnessjøen in Northern Norway. The island is often called Rødøya, but Rødøya is an island much further north.

Lauvøylandet is most famous for having a petroglyph portraying a man skiing dated to 5000 BCE. This is the oldest picture in the world of someone using skis. The rock carving lies in an area called Rødøy.
