Lathyrus belinensis is an annual species of Lathyrus discovered in Turkey in 1987. It is related to the sweet pea, Lathyrus odoratus.

It has a yellow standard with red veins. It is strongly scented, but its fragrance is different from the sweet pea.

Embryo rescue techniques have been used to hybridize it with the sweet pea. This has resulted in new Lathyrus odoratus cultivars like the Sweet Pea "Erewhon", and there is hope that it can be used to introduce the yellow color into Lathyrus odoratus.
