Las Vegas Township is an administrative judicial township entirely within the Las Vegas Valley. The township provides judicial services for the city of Las Vegas and the unincorporated towns of Enterprise, Paradise, Spring Valley, Sunrise Manor (partially in North Las Vegas Township), Whitney (partially in Henderson Township) and Winchester. The city of Las Vegas has a separate municipal court for traffic and criminal misdemeanor offenses that occur within the city's incorporated boundaries.

As of the 2000 census, the total population of the Las Vegas Township is 1,349,734, including 583,756 residents of the city of Las Vegas and the 765,978 residents of the unincorporated areas that make up the rest of the township. Both the city and unincorporated areas of the township have Las Vegas mailing addresses.

Courts

The Las Vegas Township Justice Court is the judicial unit that services the township.

Constable

The Constable of Las Vegas Township serves as the civil enforcement agency for the Las Vegas Township Justice Court. In January 2015, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officially assumed responsibility for the Las Vegas Township Constable's Office.
