Large-cell neuroendocrine cancer refers to the large-cell type of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) that arise from cells of the endocrine (hormonal) and nervous systems. They can be benign or malignant, and can occur:

  • in the lung, with one rare form known as giant-cell carcinoma of the lung, for which specialized treatments are available.
  • in the cervix
  • in the intestine or elsewhere in the body.
