History
The first Landry’s Seafood opened in 1947 in Lafayette in a local family’s kitchen. In 1980 Tilman J. Fertitta, chairman, CEO and sole owner of Landry’s, Inc., opened a Landry’s Seafood location in the Houston suburb of Katy, Texas. He later opened more locations, eventually assuming controlling interests of the company.
