Lambda Chamaeleontis (λ Cha), is a star located in the constellation Musca. Lambda Chamaeleontis is also known as HR 4617, and HD 105340. The star is located at Right Ascension 12h 7m 50sec and Declination −75 deg 22 arcmin 01 arcsec.

Lambda Chamaeleontis is a K2III giant star with an effective temperature of 5000 Kelvin. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +5.18, and an absolute visual magnitude of −.469. It is located 134.1 parsecs, (437.3 light years) from the sun and has a mass of 2 solar masses.

The star was first designated Lambda Chamaeleontis by Lacaille, in his Coelum Australe Stelliferum. He listed it close to Pi Chamaeleontis in both brightness and location. The IAU redefinition of the constellation borders in 1930, has placed Lambda Chamaeleontis slightly over the border in Musca, rather than Chamaeleon.
