Laligam is a Panchayat union in the Dharmapuri district, Tamil Nadu, India.

Laligam is a beautiful village,in the district of Dharmapuri, situated 15 km from the main town.It is known for its famous temples and history. The original name of the village Laligam is "EZHILAGAM" ,meaning, 'the place of beauty' ( Ezhil - beauty ) .

The Subramaniyar temple,situated in the centre of the village,makes the village head up in history.Lord Murugan of this temple is the prime God for all the people in and around this hamlet.

Also present,is a centuries old " PONNIYAMMAN TEMPLE" ,which was once situated in the middle of a forest. But now, due to time's progress and nature's bad progress , only few trees remain.

There is a Govt. Higher Secondary School in Laligam, which was opened by Our former Chief Minister K.KAMARAJ. There is also a private educational centre named VIVEKANANDA VIDYALAYA, stands high for the past 25 years.

The 'car festival' of Laligam ,celebrated once in 5 years,is an important festival that unites the whole village folk in fervor.Irrespective of their daily chores and distant residence,every single person belonging to Laligam,flock up to their homeplace and share the enthusiasm.
