Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, Devunipalli

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is a temple complex in Devunipalli village of Karimnagar, Telangana, India. The primary deity is Narasimha swamy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The main temple is on a hillock and other two temples are built down from the temple. Every year Karthika Purnima is celebrated as a Swamy kalyanotsavam followed by five days of celebrations that ends with Rathotsavam.

History

Once a huge rock fell from a hill and stopped at a slope edge instead of falling on nearby houses. The rock broke into two pieces and swamy emerged from that stone. On the next day swamy appeared in the dream of a villager and asked to build a temple for him. Swamy Namalu and footprints have been discovered on that hill. The temple is said to be built by Jains. This temples faces west, as all the Hindu temples faces east direction.
