Lakeside Elementary School is a public elementary school in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains south of Los Gatos, California in Santa Clara County. Lakeside is part of the Lakeside Joint School District.

History

Lakeside elementary School was founded in 1882 as a one-room school with only one teacher for the logging community around the Lexington/Los Gatos area of the Santa Cruz Mountains. It stayed as such until the mid-1950s. The modern school was built mostly in 1967 and the newest addition, the Lakeside Community Center, was built in 2004.
