The Lakes College (also known as TLC) is a Prep to Year 12 Independent Co-Educational College located in North Lakes, Brisbane. The school has over 700 students in Prep - Year 12 and is a Ministry of the Uniting Church in Australia.

History
The Lakes College opened in 2005 and caters for students from Prep to Year 12.
The College was originally a joint initiative of the Anglican Church of Australia and the Uniting Church in Australia.
Until 2008, it was operated by EDUCANG Limited along with Forest Lake College, Mary McConnel School, The FLC International Centre, and The Springfield College.
In 2008, sole ownership of The Lakes College (TLC) was assumed by the Uniting Church in Australia.
Curriculum
The Lakes College's curriculum includes individualised training in the academic, cultural, social, spiritual and physical domains. The school's academic program focuses on high quality outcomes in all subjects, with individual attention and support given to students. Various forms of digital technology, including a 1:1 laptop program in Years 4 – 12 supports the delivery of a diverse, engaging curriculum.
Mandarin Chinese
Mandarin Chinese is the College's official Language Other Than English (LOTE) and is taught in all classes from Prep to Year 8.
Music
From Prep, every student learns a musical instrument and participates in classroom music lessons. From Year 7, Music becomes an elective with students using keyboards, guitars and computer technology.
Visual Art
All students in the Primary School take art lessons with specialist staff and students in the Secondary school can study Art as an elective from Year 7.
Sport
The College has a comprehensive sport program which caters for a wide range of interests and skill levels with involvement in local interschool competitions and the Pine Rivers district and Metropolitan North regional sports associations. They offer an extensive extra-curricular program that provides a broad variety of opportunities for our students including cricket, soccer, netball, athletics, swimming and an award winning Dance program.
