The Lake County Film Festival was a yearly film festival held in Lake County, IL. Started as a two film event in 2004, it has expanded to a 100+ screening event in 2008. The festival was last held in 2011.

History

The Lake County Film Festival has shown films by Greg Pak, Steve James, Chris Weitz, Jake Kasdan and Park Chan-Wook, although it is mostly known for showing smaller independent films like Four Eyed Monsters, See This Movie and Pirates of the Great Salt Lake, high profile documentaries like Reel Paradise, El Inmigrante, Abel Raises Cain and Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea. They also show a large number of short films.
