Created

Hong Kong local elections, 1994

Lai Kok is one of the 21 constituencies of the Sham Shui Po District Council. The seat elects one member of the council every four years. It was held by Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood former chairman Frederick Fung (before that Fung represented for the Shek Kip Mei constituency) until he was defeated by Chan Wing-yan of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) and Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (FTU) in the 2015 District Council election. The boundary is loosely based on the area of Lai Kok Estate.
