LaKendra Tookes is an American comedian and writer.
In December 2013, Saturday Night Live held a casting call to add at least one African-American female to the show and comedian Sasheer Zamata was hired as a performer and Leslie Jones and LaKendra Tookes were hired as writers.
Tookes is also an actress and has appeared on such television series as Red Oaks and Friends of the People.
