Kyger Creek Power Plant is a 1-Gigawatt coal-fired power station at Cheshire, Ohio, USA operated by the Ohio Valley Electric Corporation. Launched into service in 1955, the plant is located just 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) downstream along the Ohio River from a much larger, newer coal-fired Gavin Power Plant. It has one of the tallest chimneys in the world at 305 metres (1,001 ft), built in 1980.
