Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Kurt Blasberg (14 July 1902 – 15 December 1967) was a German naval officer and group leader in the 36. Minensuchflottille and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (German: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes) in World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. He was a candidate of the Deutsche Partei in 1949.
