Kuprai Amazai is a village in the Kheybar Pakhtoonkhowa province of Pakistan.Kuprai The village was founded by migrants from Amanzi (near Sawabi) and it got its name from its proximity to a large stone which looked like human skull.. In Pushto, a human skull is called a Kooprai which was corruped to Kupri over the years. The father (Baba) of this village was migrated from District Sawabi and his name was Ahmed Baba. The residents of Kuprai Amazai belong to a Pathans tribe called Yousufzai.The population of Amazai belongs to Yousufzai, Gurjar, Tanoli and Mughal clans. The population is approximately 3500 and the predominant occupations are agriculture related.

There are two mosques (Sunni Islam) and a Hujra in Kupri. The Upper Mosque is in the upper part of the village and the Lower Mosque in the lower. There is also a High School and three Primary Schools.

There are Six sub tribes in Kupri Amazai. (1) Kher Muhammad Khel (called Gana Khuna), the largest tribe of the village.
