Kristopher Scott Souther (born April 13, 1980) is an American swimmer.

He formerly swam for Hillenbrand Aquatics. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1998, and then from the University of Arizona, Tucson in 2002. He is 193 cm (6 ft 4 in) tall and weighs 86 kg (190 pounds). Souther is a specialist in the 200 backstroke and 100 freestyle. He is an NCAA All American in the 200 Backstroke and 200-medley relay. He holds the high school state record in New Mexico for the 100 y Freestyle. Souther fell just short of making the 2000 Olympics in the 200 m backstroke at the 2000 Olympic trials in Indianapolis. He was coached by 3X NCAA coach of the year Frank Busch.

Career

Souther competed exclusively for the University of Arizona in college from 1998-2002. He had a standout year in 2000 with a 5 place NCAA finish in the 200 m backstroke at 1:55.51. He ranks 17th in the world. He also finished 3rd in the 400 medley relay at the 2002 NCAA Championships. Souther competed on the European Grand prix circuit in 2002 in Ireland and Mexico City as a professional swimmer.
