The majority of Creoles are Christians, though there is a small Muslim minority among them, that are better known as Oku or Aku.
Christianity
Unlike the other ethnic groups in Sierra Leone, the majority of Creoles are overwhelmingly Christians. The reason for this is because of the influence the slavemasters had on the slaves and also because of the many missionaries sent to the Creoles when Freetown was just established.
