Kopaniec (German: Seifershau) [kɔˈpaɲet͡s] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stara Kamienica, within Jelenia Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Stara Kamienica, 14 kilometres (9 mi) west of Jelenia Góra, and 108 kilometres (67 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.

Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.

Kopaniec is situated in the foothills of the Jizera Mountains (Góry Izerskie) near the Karkonosze. The village is well known because the artist colony. There are many agro-tourist facilities.
