Beck (Kommissar Beck – Die neuen Fälle is the German title) is a series of Swedish cinema and television movies, revolving around the character of police detective Martin Beck and his team from the book series by Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö. The movies are not direct adaptations of the books, only using some of its main characters. The series is currently in its fifth season with a total of 30 episodes having been aired and four episodes of season 5 that will be aired in 2016.
