Kombai is a panchayat town in Theni District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

It is known for cardamom, which it exports. It is also a producer of tamarind and coconuts. Kombai is also well known for the breed of dog "Kombai" which is trained to be used for hunting purposes.

Kombai is famous for Sri Renganathar Temple, located on the foot hills of western ghats, Festival celebrated during five Saturday Tamil month Puratasi, famous for its car festival.Kombai Zamindar Mr.A.Appaji Rajkumar and Illya Zamindar Mr.S.Logandurai use to coordinate with all Community in the village to organize this Car fesvital.

Kombai is famous Cinima director/actor Rajkaboor's birthplace and also the Ranjith Jayakody,director of film Puriyaadha Pudhir Movie was born and brought up here. 125 years old Sri Kannika Parameshwari Schools are located in kombai where the famous music director Ilaiyaraja studied.
