Kolyshleysky District (Russian: Колышле́йский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,162 square kilometers (449 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Kolyshley. Population: 26,187 (2010 Census); 27,751 (2002 Census); 29,125 (1989 Census). The population of Kolyshley accounts for 31.7% of the district's total population.
