Kollakadavu (literal translation: blacksmith ferry/ford) is a village in Alappuzha, in the state of Kerala, south-west India. The Achankoil River flows through the town. Kollakadavu is situated 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south of Chengannur and 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) g Mavelikkara. The town is connected by road. The population of Kollakadavu practices Hinduism, Christianity or Islam. Residents in the community speak Malayalam, a regional language, and the educated also speak Hindi and/or English.
