Knockavilla, Cork is a place in County Cork, Ireland, a few of kilometres from Crossbarry and Innishannon. There is a church; St Patrick's Church. There is also a school, a pub and a graveyard, with about six houses in the area, with many more in the local townlands of Russell Hill and Clashanaimud. It is situated halfway between the Upton House Nursing home and an Chathairleach hillfort at the top of the hill. Recently the church underwent renovations, overseen by parish priest Fr. John Kingston. Knockavilla lies in the northern part of the Innishannon-Knockavilla parish, a community hall is situated next to the church and Knockavilla Celtic is the local football club. Knockavilla is part of the Innishannon parish.

Education

Knockavilla is served by Scoil MhaoilĂ­osa and provides classes from Junior Infants to 6th Class. The current building was built in 1973 and prior to that the school was housed in the building which is now the Parish Hall.
