"Kingston State of Mind" is a reality-charged song written and performed by singer/songwriter Cherine. The song addresses the current issues facing Jamaica including gun violence, crime and political inequities. "Kingston State of Mind" was produced by the duo of Sly & Robbie and became a hit for Anderson on the reggae scene in 2008. Anderson made her video directorial debut with "Kingston State Of Mind" topping the Caribbean Video charts. The song peaked at #1 on MTV Tempo and was eventually retired about four months in the top ten.
