After approximately 100 concerts in two years, Kind of Blue entered the talent competition the John Lennon Talent Award.

Several weeks later, Kind of Blue signed a contract with Eastwest Records and started to record their first album. Concurrently, the record company offered the band the opportunity to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest. The Band agreed.

In autumn of 2000, the first album "In Sight" and the second single "The Same" were released.

In the following months, the band continued their work and collected material for their second album, and also played several festivals in cooperation with the German radio station Germany - NDR2.

During this time, Katrin, the singer, decided to give up music to step back into private life. In the beginning of 2003, Lidia Kopania joined the band.

The band's second album, “Beating The Morning Rush” was released in 2004 and includes the singles "Morning light" and "Black and blue" which were written by Bernd Klimpel.

The last album was released in 2005 and called "Pocałuj mnie" (polish edition). In 2005, Kind of Blue took part in a song competition in Opole, Poland performing the song ("What’s in a kiss" in original version)". The group is planning their next album for spring 2009.

Lidia started her solo career by singing in the "TOPtrendy Sopot Festiwal 2006" in Poland. Her song "Sleep" won public praise. Her first solo album, "Intuicja", and her second, "Przed świtem", were created by Bernd Klimpel and Lidia.
