Khanpur is a neighbourhood in Delhi, India, situated in the South Delhi district, on the Mehrauli- Badarpur Road. Its surrounding localities are Madangir, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Tigri and Dakishinpuri, plus Indo-Tibetan Border Police's (ITBP) National Centre for UNCIVPOL training is also situated at Tigri in Khanpur

Gujjars are the main population of this area, which are generally Basist and Nagar. According to the locale peoples this place has a very old history in it. The place is also known for mudering many British official Army at that time when we are not Independent. Gujjars took a large part for the independence of the country, and thus Britishers gave them name criminal tribe.
