Kern River Golf Course is a public golf course located in Kern River County Park along the Kern River just 15 minutes north east of downtownBakersfield, California. It is one of three courses owned and managed by the County of Kern Parks & Recreation division. The golf course is a part of the Kern River County Park. Its location is next to Lake Ming, the Kern River, and Hart Park, as well as camping grounds and recreational areas.

The course was designed by William F. Bell, and opened in 1953. It is a full 18-hole golf course, situated on hilly terrain near the base of the Greenhorn Mountains. Various local tournaments are held throughout the year.
Kern River Golf Course has hosted many tournaments, including the Kern County Amateur for decades. It features some of the longest Par 3 holes in the county, as well as elevated greens and bermuda grass fairways. There are three practice areas, as well as a driving range, and Professional Golf Instruction. A interior snack bar, and snack shack on the 6th tee provide food and refreshment for golfers. Tees range from Blue to new 'Family Tees' for a shorter course for Junior Golfers and their families.
