Kentucky Route 743 is a south–north route running through parts of Warren and Edmonson Counties in south-central Kentucky. Traversing farmland and woodlands for most of its length, it is primarily a rural access corridor allowing access to numerous higher numbered state highways.
Route description
KY 743 begins at an intersection with US 31W in Warren County, heading northwest on the two-lane undivided Boiling Springs Road. The road passes through agricultural areas, passing to the southwest of a residential development. The route intersects the northern terminus of KY 2630 and turns to the northeast. KY 743 heads north through a mix of farmland and woodland with some homes, turning west onto Girkin Boiling Springs Road before turning north onto Chalybeate School Road. The road crosses into Edmonson County and comes to a junction with the eastern terminus of KY 1749. The route passes through more agricultural areas with some woods and residences, turning east. KY 743 comes to an intersection with the northern terminus of KY 2326. The road passes through more rural areas with some development and intersects KY 3611 prior to coming to KY 101 in Chalybeate. At this point, the route turns south for a brief concurrency with KY 101 on Chalybeate Road before splitting to the east onto New Grove Road. KY 743 continues through farmland with some woods and homes, making several turns to the north and east. The route ends at an intersection with KY 422 south of Pig.
